Y’all, aren’t ready for this one! We are soooo excited to honor Sasha V. King, the reigning America’s Bearded Queen this Sunday at the Bluegrass Bearded Queen 2023 Preliminary Pageant!

Sasha V. King, the reigning America’s Bearded Queen also Texas Bearded Queen 2x is originally from Detroit MI and has lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 6 years. Sasha has been in the art form of drag and female impersonation for over 18 years and counting. Sasha has competed in pageants in multiple systems including, but not limited to; USofA, FFI, United States and America. Sasha is also a professional makeup artist working, traveling, and training people all around the world, with clients such as Dennis Dowse, Nicole Kidman, Tamela Mann and more. Sasha is a bearded queen with vision, talent, and ambition. Entertaining on and off stage all around the world, this National Queen is sure to captivate your mind, change your thoughts, and fill your heart.

Are y’all ready to meet our 4th judge?!

Here she is folks, Meet Stella, she ‘s not a drag queen, but many have mistaken her for one.

Stella twirled her way into the world of pageantry 23 years ago through color guard performance. Since then, she has choreographed, staged, sewed, styled and sequined her way to a judgement chair near you. Stella loves fashion and believes in celebrating all bodies and paths of creativity through glamour and self-expression.
She is a fierce advocate of the LGBTQIA+ Community. Working alongside organizations such as the ACLU and The Fairness Campaign, she has been involved in national movements for Marriage Equality and Trans-Rights Activism. Locally, she has been essential in the development of Bowling Green Pride Events and continues to advocate for the institution of a Fairness Ordinance within our community.
Stella is extremely honored to be a part of this esteemed judging panel. She always thought she’d be a beard, but look at her now Ma, she’s judging ‘em.

It’s that time of the week, judge announcement time! Our third judge is none other than the Southern Comfort herself, India Divine! Coming out of Southern Ky, India started drag in 1994 right here in Bowling Green, Ky but has performed in Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri, Kentucky and Indiana. Currently, she is cast member of The Primadonnas, Bowling Green Gemz, and on cast in Owensboro, Ky. India has competed and judged multiple pageants to include bar and prelim pageants. Having been a show director in an LGBT bar and for a once a month show, India has gained knowledge and experience for both shows and for the art of pageantry. “One quick bit for all contestants….learn and grow from your experience.”
