Our Story

Sizana Arts is a minority-owned and run online small business. All the art we market, the original hand-made paintings and the art products, are from acclaimed and up-and-coming artists from around the world. Through the international travels of our founder, we have met and spoken with many artists — some of whom are very well-known locally and others who are working on getting more notoriety. Through our interactions, we have truly come to appreciate their love and passion for creating art, their talent, their skill, and their commitment as creatives. We continually work to embody the concept of “Sizana,” borrowed from Zulu meaning ally and friendship. We represent our partnered artists in numerous ways: professional development activities, direct art sales, and art merchandise sales.

We have seen first-hand the difficulty that the path of a working artist entails and we know that not everyone can be a Rembrandt or van Gogh, but it does not mean they should remain unknown. Thus, we work tirelessly to build their platforms.

Through our small journey thus far, we have landed international art exhibitions for our artists and new sales avenues they otherwise would not have had, but more than that, we are overjoyed in how our collaborative process has inspired not only the thinking of our artists, but also ourselves — whether it is learning more about a subject area of an artwork or dabbling artistically ourselves.
