Dear friends,

Thank you for joining us for Lamb of God. We are grateful you were able to be part of this presentation.

This production was offered as a community-supported event, with the hope of creating a meaningful and reverent experience centered on the Savior. Due to nonprofit guidelines, we were not able to charge the small per-seat cost at entry as originally planned, and instead relied on voluntary contributions to help cover the costs of the production.

As we close out this year’s production, we are about $3,100 short of covering the total expenses.

We have heard from many who were deeply impacted, and we are grateful for the spirit that was felt in each performance. If the experience was meaningful to you, we would be grateful for any contribution you feel inclined to make to help close that remaining gap:

Venmo:

Thank you again for being part of this experience. It truly meant a great deal.

With gratitude,
Davis County Easter Chorus Production Committee

We have heard from many who were unable to secure tickets and are hoping for an opportunity to attend. We invite you to join the standby line.

Because this is a free performance with no obligation to attend, we anticipate having open seats available.

We hope to see you there. Skyward Symphony

I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.

He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul’s complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.

He lives, my kind, wise heav’nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I’ll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.

He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”

Meet the Soloists! Mary Magdalene - Allison Ward

Returning as Mary for the second time, Allison has always loved having music in her life. She is a vocal performance graduate from BYU and has enjoyed many opportunities to sing in both solo and ensemble settings. She especially loves making music with her husband and children and finds that music has been a constant source of faith and connection in her home.

“There are few things more powerful to me than joining voices and spirits to share truth through music. Portraying Mary Magdalene has been a sacred experience and a reminder of the joy that comes from knowing the Savior lives. Because of Him, there is no pain, sorrow, or darkness we cannot overcome. I hope all who attend will feel His love and the hope that comes through Him with this music.”

Meet the Soloists! Apostle Peter - Ryan Ward

Ryan returns as Peter in Lamb of God. This is his seventh time performing the role, which has become a deeply meaningful, spiritual experience for him. He has previously performed the part with the Davis Interfaith Choir and alongside soloists from the original soundtrack in productions in Utah. Ryan met his wife, Allison, who is also performing in this production, while they were studying vocal performance at BYU. Together they now raise six children in Kaysville.

Music is something I enjoy in my spare time, but Lamb of God has been part of my spiritual journey since I first heard the music in 2011. Peter’s story feels personal to me, full of faith, mistakes, and redemption. Playing Peter reminds me of my own need for the Savior and of the patience and mercy Christ extends to each of us. I am not perfect, but I can see how I have grown spiritually through this music, guided by the Savior’s tender mercy, and I am grateful for the chance to share this testimony with the community. I hope to convey the depth of love and discipleship Peter's example gives us.

Meet the Soloists! Pilate - Dallin Richards (Saturday)

Dallin returns to reprise the role of Pilate for a second time. Dallin has been studying voice and has performed in many notable musical productions since 2016. He has a commanding presence on stage and has a versatile range. He’s perfectly cast to communicate the role.

"I really felt that I grew closer to the Savior during the production of this show - More so as a member of the choir, specifically. The music grew on me and was hard keeping composure during some of the numbers."

This is Kalen’s first time performing in The Lamb of God, taking up the role of Pontius Pilate.

Meet the Soloists! Apostle Thomas - Colton Richins

I'm deeply humbled to return for the third time to portray 'doubting Thomas'. I have grown to love Thomas' story and feel a deep connection to him. As I think about the many hardships I've encountered throughout my life and the injustices that we and our loved ones experience, I think about Thomas and the message this character shares: "Sometime, we'll understand".

I have a strong testimony in a loving Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ who have a perfect understanding as to why we have trials, some of which seem unfair or unbearable. I trust and have faith that, while I don't have all the answers now, "Sometime, I'll understand"...and that's enough for me. God is good and He loves us.

I'd be remiss if I didn't express my love and appreciation for my wife and daughters for allowing me to participate in this sacred experience. Living in Saratoga Springs and having the birth of our 3rd child in the middle of the rehearsal schedule, they have supported me in the extra time away to make this work and I am incredibly grateful.

Meet the Soloists! Martha - Angie Dennis

Angie Dennis is a mom of six kids and developing her voice has been an expressive outlet while raising her family the past fifteen years. Listening to Lamb of God for the first time served as a springboard into that journey.

“I’ve loved Lamb of God ever since Rob Gardner released the first CD recording. Every song is so relatable and can be applied to anyone’s life. When I first heard “Make Me Whole,” my soul was so stirred that I wanted to learn to sing it. I was able to perform the song in church and for recitals, and that was fulfilling enough for me, but Heavenly Father had different plans. He urged me forward in my musical journey, until I realized that maybe one day I would know it well enough to audition.

For the past few years, it’s been a dream of mine to play Martha in a live production of Lamb of God, and I honestly can’t believe this is real! I feel so grateful. The message of the song to my soul is that Jesus Christ lives! He can, and will, make everyone whole again—whether now or in the hereafter. He loves us, so we can always trust Him.”
