👋 it’s been a while…
Glad I was able to do this portrait a few weeks back - reminded me how much I really do love art.
I think lately I’ve just been so overwhelmed with thoughts that I have to create quality work for it to even be worth the time to pull out supplies and start on a project.
But I’m trying to shift this mindset because the joy of art really is in the process.
Lately I’ve been wondering what mediums truly bring me joy to work with. And most of the time I get really down on myself- feeling like my paintings really aren’t very good (I know these are just thoughts and I’m working on challenging them ;) )

Amidst my creative blocks when it comes to painting I’ve been really inspired by people who work with clay - something that still puts my hands to work but feels much more controlled. It’s been fun to dabble with and I’m excited to share with you what I’ve been working on .. soon 😁
