The Big Cheese

A cheesemonger is like a sommelier for cheese—and Adam “Mister Moo” Moskowitz wants to bring more appreciation to the craft.

The Big Cheese follows Moskowitz as he coaches a U.S. team to compete at the Mondial du Fromage, the “Olympics of Cheese,” where they’ve never won. Follow these underdogs through cultural clashes, personal struggles, and plenty of melting cheese as they train for the ultimate competition.

Composed entirely of archival footage and sound design, Trains creates a collective portrait of life in 20th-century Europe through the people and histories carried by its railways.

From ordinary passengers and hopeful journeys to soldiers leaving for war, civilians evacuating, and prisoners returning from camps, director Maciej Drygas traces the repeating cycles of hope, upheaval, loss, and return that unfolded in railway carriages and stations throughout the century.

What kind of scary movie do you want to watch? On October 30, you make the call.

Pick Your Poison turns the Dairy Arts Center into a cinematic playground for one wildly unpredictable night. Catch the big titles and crowd-pleasers in the Gordon, head to the Boedecker for something strange and unexpected, or wander into silent films with live DJ soundtracks in the lobby.

Choose between The Bride of Frankenstein or Demons 2, Carrie or Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II, and Obsession or Slumber Party Massacre II, or switch films mid-screening!

Costumes, cozy jammies, and other Halloween attire are welcome but not required.

All tickets include free popcorn throughout the night!

The Last First: Winter K2

In partnership with the Boulder Environmental, Nature and Outdoor Film Festival, The Last First: Winter K2 follows a 2021 expedition attempting to become the first to summit K2 in winter, when conditions on the mountain are at their most extreme.

Directed by Amir Bar-Lev, the documentary follows Icelander John Snorri SigurjĂłnsson and Pakistani father-son team Ali and Sajid Sadpara as their dangerous ascent unfolds alongside influencer climbers, commercial expeditions, film crews, and a Nepalese team pursuing mountaineering glory of their own.

A harrowing story of strategy, determination, class, caste, money, and power—all under life-and-death circumstances.
