Keaka O Kalani

Hula and Polynesian Dance School We are a hula and polynesian dance school based in Boulder, Colorado.

Keaka O Kalani is a sister school to Northern Colorado Hula School in Fort Collins, CO and to Kehulili O Kailani in Encinitas, CA and is under the guidance of Kumu Hula Randy Kaulana Chang of Hula Halau Kaulana Ka Hale Kula O Na Pua O Ka Aina in Torrance, CA. As many students of this art form have come to realize, hula often becomes a way of life to those who learn it. Hula is more than a dance -

- it is a way to communicate, cherish and preserve Hawai’i’s rich history. Each mele (song) and it’s accompanying dance can become a history lesson, an anthropological journey, and a means to appreciate what the Hawaiian people, their history and legends bring to the wonderfully diverse cornucopia of cultures that, in the end, represent all of us.

Please come & support this emergency fundraiser event to assist those affected by the recent catastrophic flooding in Hawaii. Keaka O Kalani will be joining many others to provide live Polynesian entertainment & there will be wonderful local vendors and amazing food — all coming together for a cause bigger than us.

Keaka O Kalani is excited to perform at the Book Release Event of the Shark Prince on May 2nd at the Louisville Public Library! We have been honored to be a part of the Malia Maunakea's book release events for Lei and the Fire Goddess and Lei and the Invisible Island, and we can't wait to hear all about this new release. Come join us.... Registration is not required and the event is free!

Pi'ilani's Ho'olaulea is this Saturday and Keaka O Kalani and Hula Fort Collins dancers are excited to be performing at the main stage at 10:40am (directly after the opening ceremonies that will kick off the event at 10am). The Ho'olaulea always features many talented musicians and dance groups as well as wonderful vendors for food and crafts. We hope to see you there!

Our dear friends from Mele Oli are hosting a FREE and EPIC Polynesian Event on the 5th of July in Colorado Springs! Talented musical guests from all over Colorado are coming to play Live Hawaiian Style Music all day. The park has a Water Splash sprinkler system for the kids to play at. It will be a community style Potluck and a community get together Hawaiian Island style. Be sure to put this on your calendar as this is an event not to be missed!

This Saturday, Kalama Polynesian Dancers \ Halau Kalama Nonprofit Organization 501c3 is putting on a spectacular Polynesian showcase of dancing (including fire knife dancers), music, food, vendors and much more in Castle Rock! Get your VIP or General admission tickets today. You don't want to miss this! Keaka O Kalani will be dancing some hula for the VIP guests.
