Boulder Potters' Guild The Boulder Potters' Guild is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated since 1969 to promoting the ceramic arts.

We have about 70 members and apprentices who work with clay in a variety of
ways from functional to sculptural. Our studio provides members the facilities to work together and individually to make, glaze, and fire our work. We also provide many resources to arts outreach and education Boulder County, including teaching school and community groups, collaborating with local arts organizations, and hosting workshops and classes throughout the year.

"When I first started working with clay, I felt like I had come home. Making with clay provides a framework or a vehicle through which I grow as a human being."

With a background in fine arts, painting and illustration, working in clay has become an obsession of mine. I make functional, as well as sculptural work mostly in porcelain, which I hope, bring joy and delight to the viewers. My colorful pieces are intended to tell stories and speak for themselves. My present functional work is mostly fired in oxidation, cone 6, 2232 F.

** Meet Guild Member Renee LaLonde **
Renee has a background in fine art, always gravitating towards the tangible and what can be created with her hands. She finds inspiration in the dramatic natural contrasts the Earth offers. Dark clay bodies. Light, ethereal textiles originating from h**p, cotton and linen. With clay, Renee’s current focus is on hand built, organic shapes often times utilizing objects in nature to form the body of work. Her sewn pieces are created using sustainably sourced fabrics from around the world that offer the wearer the freedom of self expression and aliveness.

🌷 On Sunday, all the members got together for our pre-sale meeting! We want to give a HUGE thank you to the board members whose time serving has come to an end - we couldn't have done it without you!! There were lots of exciting announcements about general Guild happenings like upcoming classes, sale prep, welcoming new members, and voting in new board members! 🌷
