A field is never just a field.

It’s where a nervous freshman finds their confidence. Where teammates become friends. Where a child tries something new—and asks to do it again.
At Brock USA, those moments give our work meaning.

We engineer sports shock pads, playground pads, and BrockFILL organic infill. But what motivates us is the people who use those spaces: the athletes giving their all, the kids discovering play, and the communities gathering to cheer them on.

Our work sits beneath the turf and among its fibers. You may never notice it during a game or a trip to the playground, but we put care into every layer.
Because behind every project are people counting on that space to be a place to learn, grow, and belong.

That’s who we build for. Learn more about Brock USA at: https://na2.hubs.ly/H08mnDv0

Testimonial Tuesday | Shorecrest Preparatory School

When Shorecrest’s new field was installed, Athletic Director Anthony McCall thought heat might be an issue. After practicing on it during the summer, he said its feel was comparable to the natural grass field the team had used.

“We’ve enjoyed this product—really great surface—and I would recommend it to anyone who’s installing a turf field.”

We’re proud to be part of this project alongside SCG Fields, LLC and Shaw Sports Turf.

Congratulations to Shorecrest Preparatory School and the Chargers on your new field! ⚡🏈

One Family’s Big Win: A Place for Their Kids to Play Soccer, Right at Home

Brock partnered with Great American Green and Tailor Made Grass to provide the mini-pitch soccer experience at Decatur WatchFest '26, one of Atlanta‘s most popular World Cup watch parties.

One lucky family won a backyard turf soccer field of their own, featuring Brock PowerBase YSR shock pad to reduce the likelihood of injuries, and BrockFILL organic infill for a better playing surface that reduces the temperature of the field.

Aiden and Quinn are avid soccer players who often show off their moves in their front yard. They also attended nearly every FIFA watch party at Decatur Square.

Testimonial Tuesday | Mill Creek High School

The players are the ones making the cuts, planting their feet, and feeling how a field responds. That’s why we value hearing what they notice.

“Our kids could tell a difference. When they step their foot in the ground, they can push off. On some other surfaces, they said they really have to dig in. Here, they put their foot in the ground and go.” — Josh Lovelady, Head Football Coach, Mill Creek High School

Thank you, Coach Lovelady, for sharing your team’s experience. We’re proud to be part of the field at Mill Creek High School.

Playgrounds matter because childhood matters.

This month, we’re proud to spotlight Golden Hills in Saugus, Massachusetts — a 15,000 sq ft playground created to give children a place to run, climb, explore, and simply be kids.

At Brock, that purpose is personal. We make shock pads because the ground beneath every step matters. While no surface can remove every risk, the right foundation helps cushion hard impacts which, creates a safer place to play.

Golden Hills features Brock PowerBase/YSR + Play 50, paired with SYNSPORT + SYNRYE turf, to support the moments that matter most — confidence on the playground, peace of mind for families, and more freedom for children to play hard, laugh loudly, and come back tomorrow ready to do it all again.

A special thank you to IMEG for the design and for sharing this project with us for recognition, and a tip of the cap to for their role in bringing this playground to life.

Field of the Week Friday | The Master's Academy

That blue deserves a closer look! Located in Oviedo, Florida, this 80,850-square-foot field brings together AstroTurf, Brock SP17XL shock pad, and BrockFILL organic infill. Installed in 2021 by our partners at AstroTurf, it’s a standout home for the Eagles.

Why pair BrockFILL with a Brock shock pad?
Each component has a different job. Beneath the turf, the Brock shock pad provides impact absorption. Among the turf fibers, BrockFILL’s engineered wood particles help reduce surface heat and support traction. Together with AstroTurf, they address key parts of the playing experience—from footing to landing.

Proud to work with partners who consider the entire field system. Go Eagles! 🦅

Tech Thursday: AI-powered field cameras are giving sports programs a more scalable way to capture and use video.

By automatically tracking play and generating footage and highlights, these systems reduce the operational lift that traditionally comes with sports production. For smaller schools and community programs, that can mean more consistent game film, faster review, better highlight creation, and stronger visibility without the need for a full camera crew.

At Brock, we look at technology through the lens of athlete outcomes. Whether the focus is the playing surface under an athlete’s feet or the tools a program uses to coach and evaluate performance, the standard is the same: innovation should help programs operate better and support the people on the field.

That is why technology like this stands out. It turns video into a more practical tool for coaching, athlete development, and communication.

An athletic field is never just one person’s decision.

An owner thinks about the investment they’ll stand behind for years. An architect needs evidence to support a recommendation. A field manager thinks about the seasons after installation. A coach thinks about how athletes experience every practice and game. A parent wants to understand the surface their child plays on.

They’re looking at the same field through different responsibilities.

That’s why a good field conversation should go beyond what’s visible on opening day. Ask how the complete system will perform over time: how it handles impacts, footing, and heat; how it will be maintained; and what happens when the turf is eventually replaced.

At Brock, our role is to help people ask those questions and understand the evidence behind the answers.

What question do you wish more people asked before choosing a sports field?

Testimonial Tuesday | Winder-Barrow High School

“It’s the right medium between too soft and too hard.”

That’s how Ed Dudley, former head football coach at Winder-Barrow High School in Georgia, describes playing on the school’s turf field with a Brock shock pad beneath it.
Athletes need a surface that feels firm and responsive underfoot while cushioning harder impacts. Hearing a coach describe that balance in his own words means a great deal to our team.

Thank you, Coach Dudley, for sharing your experience.

Field of the Week Friday | Princeton University
Excellence is a tradition at Princeton. And that standard extends all the way down to what’s beneath the field.

This week’s Field of the Week takes us to Powers Field at Princeton Stadium, home of Princeton Tigers football.

There’s a lot of history here. Princeton Stadium stands on the site of historic Palmer Stadium, where the Tigers played for more than 80 years. The current stadium opened for football in 1998, and the field was named Powers Field in 2007 in recognition of a gift from William C. Powers ’79.

In 2025, the field entered its next chapter with a new synthetic turf system featuring AstroTurf over Brock PowerBase PRO.

Why put an engineered shock pad beneath the turf?
Because the turf you see is only one part of how a field performs.

Brock PowerBase PRO creates an engineered foundation beneath the turf designed to help manage impact and support more consistent performance throughout the life of the field, and was developed to handle the extreme force exerted by collegiate and professional athletes.

For a university with a long tradition of expecting excellence—from the classroom to competition—that kind of thinking feels right at home.
🏟️ Powers Field at Princeton Stadium 🌱 Turf: AstroTurf 🛡️ Shock Pad: Brock PowerBase PRO 📐 96,648 sq. ft.

Tradition above it. Engineering beneath it.

We’re proud to have Brock PowerBase PRO as part of the system supporting the next chapter of football at Princeton.
