IT'S FINALLY HERE! 🌟

Next Friday, November 13th at 8pm, join RareWorks for a staged reading of Babel by Jacqueline Goldfinger. Selected for the Kilroys List in 2019, Babel centers on two couples living in a near future society in which prospective parents learn within the first weeks of conception which genetic traits their child will have, and what behaviors they are likely to exhibit. With rapid advances in reproductive technology, modern eugenics is science’s Wild West. Featuring performances by Allie Rothfield, Dan Reilly, Kimstelle Merisma, and Meaghan Robichaud, and direction by Emma Mayeux, this is an evening of theatre you won't want to miss.

Want to be a part of our fall staged reading? BABEL is hiring for four production positions!

Rehearsals for Babel begin Sunday, October 11th and will be held 2-3 evenings a week. The staged reading will be performed via Zoom on Friday, November 13th. Don't miss out on this chance to participate in RareWorks' 2020 season!

RareWorks Theatre Company's staged reading of Babel by Jacqueline Goldfinger is seeking an actor who identifies as a woman of color to play Ann, a caring woman who dreams of being a mother, but struggles with society’s expectations for her unborn child. Ann is one of the four leading roles in Babel.

Auditions are open to all current Emerson students, and self-tapes will be accepted until Wednesday, October 7th at 5pm. Please reach out to producer Elena Freck at [email protected] with any questions, or if you would like to read the script before submitting your audition.
