✨ This June, Atlantic Works Gallery is proud to present On Motherhood in Times Like These, a solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Kristen Freitas.

Through painting, installation, and mixed media, Freitas transforms the gallery into an immersive environment exploring motherhood through themes of family, heritage, resilience, resistance, and connection. Rooted in color, texture, and participation, the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on what we inherit, what we protect, and how care and community can become acts of strength.

Our April exhibition by Chris LanHui Chou and Jonathan Peña Tabares opens April 4 and will run until April 25!

🎉Opening Reception: Saturday, April 11, 6 - 9 pm

A Guggenheim Fellow, Chou works primarily in painting, with a visual language rooted in color and personal symbols. Peña Tabares is a Colombian-American artist based in East Boston, approaching art as a language of color, form and emotion. Together they will present A Story of Signs & A Story of Self.
