🫖 In "Tea for One," Daniel Whiteknact presents a carefully organized arrangement of tea-time vessels. While seemingly ordinary, these objects are elevated by the harmony of natural light, creating a sense of balance that gives the work an atmospheric quality. By portraying this almost mundane scene, Whiteknact captures and preserves the beauty found in simplicity.

💐A “Golden Bird” rests beside a charming bouquet, thoughtfully arranged among cherries and an English pear. There is a serene beauty to this piece. Theresa Pergal works in her Fenway studio, where the northern light inspires this exquisite composition, delicately balancing shadow and illumination. This stunning arrangement of flowers, bathed in warm natural light, presents a unique and heartwarming scene as you step through the Guild's doors!

☀️ Joseph McGurl’s luminist-inspired works will blow you away–especially “Autumn on the Hudson River”! This scenic, almost panoramic work is highly detailed, from the foliage to the city in the background. However, the technique McGurl uses to paint the light reflecting off the water is truly show-stopping. Every brushstroke of white, yellow, and orange blends together to create a ray of sunlight reflecting off the water, creating an almost life-like and sublime scene of the Hudson River.

🍬 It's the small things in life that are the sweetest…such as “One Peppermint”! Ralph S. Jacobs depicts a miniature painting of a precious little peppermint in natural lighting. Nostalgic, minty, and sweet. From the twist of the plastic candy wrapper to the red stripes, Jacobs pays close attention to its details and form, pushing the viewer to pay close attention to smaller details.

🔍️ Zufar Bikbov is a member of the Guild who comes from a very unique background when it comes to art. From youth to adulthood, he’s had a passion for painting–which he never let out of his sight even during medical school! His work is inspired by Russian impressionism, combined with American color palettes and landscapes. He has new works up for the Summer Exhibition as well, and is a juror for the 2026 New England Regional Juried Exhibition! Come see some of his summer works at the gallery on Newbury St.!
