Join artist Chris Firger for a behind-the-scenes look at his solo show, Wandering the City.

Chris will begin by explaining his technical and creative process, before leading viewers on a personal "tour" of the iconic and lesser-known Boston scenes that make up his exhibition. As he leads the group around the gallery Chris will explain what drew him to each scene and how he chose to approach painting it.

This event will take place in the gallery on Saturday, June 20th from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.

Introducing the Little Gallery is a selection of work by Artist Members Alice Rosa, Steve Sangapore, and James C. Varnum. These works were originally hung at the Langham Hotel, and transferred here to reintroduce the new gallery space in the room behind our Upper Gallery.

We hope you’ll stop by to see the reimagined gallery space, on view from May 26th – June 28th.

Join us for a casual afternoon of making “artist trading cards” with artist member Michelle Mendez. Artist trading cards are miniature works of art created on 2.5 x 3.5 inch cardstock, and made to be traded rather than sold.

For our event at the gallery, we’ll have tables set up for creating the cards, and the opportunity to trade with other artists at the end of the afternoon if you choose to do so!

We will have some limited supplies on hand, including cards cut down to size, but artists are encouraged to bring their own preferred dry or water-based media.

This event will take place this Saturday, June 13th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. It will be free, with a suggested $5 donation. We hope to see you there!
