We screened Late Fall at Lonely Seal Film Festival this past weekend, and it was honestly one of the best visual presentations we've had yet. The Regent Theater in Arlington gave the film a stunning big-screen showing.

Ken brought his Red Dragon camera to set. Combined with the anamorphic lenses we were able to use thanks to Orsini Media and Talama, the visuals on that screen were stunning. Our camera team really shined here, Ken Willinger Richelle Topping and Victoria Hersey along with our amazing colorist, Steve Sherrick and editor Cecilia Préstamo

The sound and acoustics were incredible too, thanks to Yvonne Corbett on sound and Scott Lebeda on boom, and Greg McCleary, who did our amazing sound design.

It was also so special getting to share this with two people seeing it on the big screen for the first time Amanda Kuo , who plays Sophia on the rooftop, finally got to watch her performance the way it was meant to be seen. And Yvonne Corbett and Miriam Olken were there experiencing it for the first time too.

An extra bonus, Adam Patcher who helped with the writing, was also able to join us.

After the screening, Orsini Media organized a wonderful gathering for our Late Fall team and the Women in Film & Video New England organization. It was wonderful to get everyone together for a post-screening celebration.

So grateful to Hammad and Lonely Seal and Women in Film Video NE for having us as part of such a wonderful lineup.

Late Fall is a Jury Award Nominee at Rock the Shorts 2026. 🏆🎬

If we win, this Late Fall | Short Film becomes Academy Award qualifying in 2028.

+/- Ten years. That's how long this project has been alive. Late nights, snail mail letters, endless research, an amazing team and most importantly, failure after failure.

Somewhere in it all, I stopped thinking of myself as an artist and started thinking of myself as an entrepreneur. Building something out of nothing, shifting from "I can't" to "I can." And I have to keep on for all the people who had contributed.

Win or not, having someone acknowledge the raw, honest reality of two parents and a toddler, and recognize it, that alone has been life-changing.

Here's to "WE CAN". So incredibly grateful.

Spirit of Massachusetts screened WoodsHoleFilmFestival Festival on August 1st — 300 people packed the house. 🎬

Seeing it on the big screen for the first time was incredible, especially for our DP Ken Willinger causenthe anamorphic lenses are made for a screen that size. The wider aspect ratio, the subtle flares, the depth of field and all the texture that gets lost on a phone screen finally showed up the way it was meant to.

This was also the first time most of our cast and crew saw the finished film together, which made it even more special. Kyle Gregory Alecia Orsini

So grateful to everyone who came out to support us. The cast, crew, families, and friends who filled that theater, and to Alecia for organizing a pre-screening gathering so we could all connect beforehand.

Two moms, our kids, one unforgettable night in Woods Hole. 💙

Late Fall Film is heading to Buffalo.

Official Selection — Valkyrie International Film Festival, August 7-11. Our New York premiere.

This is Sophia. She's the stranger who walks into the story and changes everything. Shot on the rooftop of the Double Tree Hotel in Allston against the Boston skyline, this scene is where everything shifts. It is where Tina and Danny, two new parents caught under the weight of early parenthood, finally see what they have. What Sophia doesn't. Love. Family. Each other.

Amanda Kuo brought Sophia to life with a presence that is magnetic and mysterious. And our costume designer Féliz TheStylist turned her into something truly magical. Every detail intentional and every choice adding to the mystique of this character.

There's something that feels right about landing at Valkyrie Film Festival. It's a festival run by a mother and daughter team dedicated to uplifting women directors. Two moms made this film. I wrote, co-directed, produced, and acted in it and cast my own son as the toddler. My co-director Alecia Orsini was by my side as a mother throughout the whole journey. Being accepted by a mother who is building something with her daughter, while I built this film with my son, is special.

We can't wait to see it on screen in Buffalo.

Screening August 7-11 at Valkyrie International Film Festival. Details to come on exact date and time.

Co-Director: Alecia Orsini
DP: Ken Willinger
Editor: Cecilia Préstamo

Starring: Amanda Kuo, Kyle Gregory,
2nd Camera: Victoria Hersey
