Up next in our 10th anniversary series, a return that feels like a first meeting.

Andrew James Gustav was among our earliest international bookings, part of the foundation that pointed us toward everything these years would become. Then came a long hiatus of eight or nine years. We stayed in touch through the quiet stretch, a message here, a word there, holding a place for him should he ever feel ready to play again. That day has come, and we are ready to receive him.

Much has changed for all of us since his last night with us. We have grown artistically and personally, and so has he. There is a rare satisfaction in meeting someone again on the far side of that growth, recognizing the person you knew while discovering who they have become.

In tandem with our trusted collaborators Steep , we round out the night with Zella, who joins our resident Frank Paper in support.

Every night in our 10th anniversary series was chosen with intention. Carlos was the keystone, the booking that held the rest in place.

There are great selectors, and then there is the small circle the great ones study. Carlos sits firmly in that circle. His records arrive from every direction, yet in his hands they speak one language, and his sets move like a long conversation: patient, searching, and certain of where they are headed. It’s no wonder so many revere him: he asks hard questions of a room and trusts it to answer, and people leave carrying those answers home.

He has stood behind our decks before, and each time the room was changed by it. As we mark a decade of 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨, it only feels right to welcome Carlos back to the celebration.

We first came to know of Carole (Mr. Murray) through the Outwatch series, where her ear for the forward and the unproven marked her early as a tastemaker. The overlap was immediate. Two approaches to curation drawing from the same well, moving in the same direction, recognizing each other across the distance.

The years since have taken her everywhere. Berlin, France, Philadelphia, and many stops in between. She carries the world in her selections now, an outlook widened by every floor she has stood on and every room that has shaped her. Every one of those places is still audible in how she selects.

She brings all of it to support one of the most esteemed nights in our 10th year series. Stay the full length of it. The night reserves a few things for whoever is still there at the end 😉

October 3rd falls closest to the date this all started. Ten years of putting on the music we believe in, in a city that doesn’t always make room for it. We’re marking it with the artist who defines what we’ve been reaching for the whole time.

Carlos Souffront Carlos Julio Souffront returns for this series, and there is no ambiguity about why. Carlos is our reference. When people ask us what we are after in all this, what moves us, what it looks like when someone treats a room as something to be earned rather than filled, we do not have to think about the answer. We point to him. He plays like a man with nothing to prove and everything to say. The arc is long and the payoff is earned, and if you have been in a room with him you know the particular quality of what he does: a cerebral tenacity, a willingness to withhold, an ear that has quietly shaped how a good many of us hear this music at all.

Alongside him, Mr. Murray Mr. Murray. Her instincts have carved out real ground across the northeast and beyond, as a DJ and as an organizer who intimately understands what these rooms are for and what this culture represents.

October 3rd. 10PM to late. RSVP for location.

Ten years of 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨.

98dots’ music asks for total immersion, and gives you something back for it. The frequencies are hypnotic, slightly hedonistic, but he is playing to the part of you that keeps thinking after the body has surrendered. What comes across in his sets is free will in its purest form. Creativity that refuses to be led, that trusts the floor to follow him somewhere it hasn’t been.

Tbilisi, Georgia made him. He has been a fixture in that scene since he was young, and it shows in the range: ambient, abstract, experimental, and then relentless, hypnotic techno, all of it in service of the same instinct. Bassiani is where that instinct found its room. An uncompromising standard, a sound recognizable anywhere. He now resides in BK, New York with the inheritance intact.

The selectors we hold in the highest regard stand behind him. Jane Fitz, Carl H, our own Taylor Shockley. Nobody in that company gives their word lightly and we couldn’t be more honored to host him 💫

Alex Pastor has been family long before this booking. Salvadoran by way of LA, he shares the same Central American roots 🇭🇳🤝🏽🇸🇻 we come from, and that common ground has been there under everything from the start.

The love runs deep and goes back years, whether we’re crossing paths at festivals somewhere across the world or posted up at home over a plate of real enchiladas.

It’s no coincidence either that we’ve been chasing tunes in the same vein for as long as we’ve known him. Bringing him into this series was less a decision than an inevitability.

For this one, Alex goes b2b with our resident Frank Paper - a long opening set from two selectors who move in the same direction and know how to build something together.

For the next chapter in our 10th anniversary series, we welcome .

A native of Tbilisi, Georgia and now based in New York, 98dots comes up through Bassiani - a club that has grown into something like a heritage site, a place that built its reputation on an uncompromising culture and a sound found nowhere else. That lineage shows in how he plays: relentless, hypnotic, leftfield techno, long arcs of dark tension that hold the room in a single sustained current.

To set it off, we call on our homie Alex Pastor , going b2b with our resident Frank Paper for a long opening set. Salvadoran and LA-raised, now in New York, Alex has been part of our extended family for some time - and pairing him with Frank means two selectors who can complement each other enough to take real risks together, building the night from its foundation.

Friday, July 17th.

This country was built by people it was never willing to claim.

That has always been the contradiction at the center - the labor essential, the laborer disposable. Today that contradiction is being enforced with heightened aggression. The people who harvest the food, raise the children, build the buildings - made into targets.

This is not new. And neither is the resistance.

May 1st exists because workers named that dynamic and refused it.
The original Labor Day. Not a celebration - a strike.
A declaration that the people who make the world run have the power to stop it.

This May Day, vyoo and Steep are gathering to raise money for Movimiento Cosecha — an immigrant-led movement fighting for permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all undocumented people. Every dollar from ticket sales goes directly to the local MA chapter.

Come ready to move w/

Frank Paper. Katya C. Rohan (live).

With deep respect, we welcome Aurora Halal to 𝐯𝐲𝐨͞𝐨.

Aurora’s sets move with a steady intensity that holds the room from within. The energy doesn’t peak and disappear - it stays present, unfolding in layers that keep dancers locked in and attentive to each shift.

Through her residency at Nowadays, and her role shaping both Sustain-Release + Mutual Dreaming, she has helped cultivate spaces where sound is something you stay inside of, not just move through.

April 11 — we step back into it together.
