AfroDesiaCity honors the life and legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson, Sr. — a global voice for justice, dignity, and economic empowerment.

A protégé of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rev. Jackson marched on the front lines of the Civil Rights Movement and spent decades advancing voter registration, economic equity, education access, and international human rights. His leadership bridged movements, generations, and continents — reminding us that the fight for freedom is both local and global.

As a Minister of the Gospel and architect of real social change, he carried a vision rooted in faith, courage, and collective power.

May his work remain a lamp for our feet.
May his “why” continue to fuel movements across the Diaspora.
May we honor his legacy not only in words — but in action.

We’re excited to announce the VENDOR/VOLUNTEER CALL for our upcoming 2025 AfroDesiaCity events, and we’d love to extend the opportunity for you to join us in creating vibrant, community-driven cultural experiences!

AfroDesiaCity is known for producing dynamic, soulful events that center Black and Brown joy through music, art, wellness, food, and entrepreneurship. We are now accepting applications for food vendors, artisans, wellness practitioners, and small businesses to participate in our signature activations this summer and fall. If you have any questions or special arrangements, please complete the application as is, and ADC will follow up with you directly.
