Followers of Darklight Studios:

The artist behind the works of this page, Brian Gilbert, has died. From what we know it was in his sleep and relatively quick.

Brian knew that no one lasts forever so he made Steven and Ellen administrators of his page some time back. He also made them curators of his art and works. We hope to keep current online assets in place along with the website and what works were left behind.

We will continue this page to the best of our abilities.

I had meant to post this for at least a week or more now realizing among a few other things, I hadn't yet here or on my own website (a much bigger job to get to soon as well)

When I heard the first track before made public for this projectl, I had a flood of ideas.

When too many assume that 'good/valued' art is in realistic depiction, the truth is that I'm so proud of this brand design because it was the very thing that makes the most impact and stays with people.

The FB page should be shown as associate of this page so merely thought better to share this link to hear what inspired me for more than just this. (I did the cover or the next album too but need to post that next)

Whenever I'm at a loss at what to do, I turn to this song.
For ME, the significance is in the truly decent TV Miniseries adaptation of one of my favorite novels by Sir Arthur C. Clarke, Childhood's End.

The last human alive simply asks that we are not forgotten......and chose this song as the example of all our best nature to broadcast from a satellite where the Earth once was.

I'm not 'counting the days' but when at a loss, think 'What to do if it was my last day to create.'

I feel like flying~ She's truly amazing. Words won't be able to describe her, just listen to her playing. :)

Instead of risking being trampled by overweight rural/suburban housewives at Walmart to buy the higher res TV that your eyes can't even detect anyway......
You could buy artwork for your walls, clothing and many other products.

Since I can't seem to settle on any actual work/project ATM, it's time for the usual 'housekeeping' phase that includes preparing materials, working on much needed 'tools' to assist work, and overall, getting to the many things I want to learn/figure out but haven't yet.

What's this for? Nothing in particular but one of those things I know I'll use at some point so best to at least begin to figure out the ways to do it.

Constraining a null to travel along a bezier curve with a particle emitter attached to it. No actual particles are rendered at all via the volume or blob rendering method but simply drives an alteration to the paper material to look like ink.

I'll come back to this another time with refinements to the setup to allow for breaks in the lines and even bleeding if it stays in one place too long.

Just saw the first sale of this one. I'm always most pleasantly surprised when I see any sale of the designs intentionally made/submitted to be 'obscure' to most.
