We're thrilled to welcome Taiwanese filmmaker Julian Chou (周美豫) to the 8th Taiwan Film Festival of Boston!

With over two decades of experience in Taiwan's film industry, Julian began her career as a talent agent before expanding into producing and directing. After furthering her studies in directing at the Beijing Film Academy, she has continued to create films that explore meaningful social issues and connect with audiences through authentic and emotionally resonant storytelling.

Following the screening of Blind Love, Julian will join us in person for a post-screening Q&A, where she'll share insights into the making of the film, her creative process, and the stories behind the screen.

We are excited to welcome Damien Fan to Taiwan Film Festival Boston!

As the marching instructor and action choreographer for Marching Boys《進行曲》, Damien played a key role in bringing the film’s marching band performances to life. His expertise helped shape the precision, energy, and authenticity that define the film’s memorable performance scenes. Marching Boys was also nominated for Best Action Choreography at the Golden Horse Awards.

Following the screening of Marching Boys, Damien will join us for a post-screening Q&A to share his experiences working behind the scenes and the creative process of bringing the film’s marching sequences to the screen.
