The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo is a FREE independent comics festival! The Mini-MICE open-air marketplace runs August 28 & 29 in Central Square.

Exhibitors! Mini-Grant Applications are now OPEN until September 30th! Submit your previously unpublished mini-comics for consideration for one of 15 MICE Mini-Grants of $150 each (and one grand prize of $500).

Governor Maura Healey has signed a new law protecting students’ freedom to read and keeping book bans out of Massachusetts schools and public libraries! The commemoration for this occasion in advocating for freedom of expression was made rightfully so at the Franklin Public Library, the oldest public library in the United States.

MICE has many friends who have helped push this forward! To all of those who helped in this team effort, thank you! This quote from Zach (Zach Clemente) says it all “We’ll read what we damn well please!”

Celebrate Pride Month with our friends of MICE at the Brookline Village Library for their first Brookline Q***r Dine Fest on Saturday, June 20th from 11:30AM to 4PM!

“Attendees will be able to purchase zines and art from local artists, and Brookline Booksmith will be providing a collection of free zines to enjoy.”
