At the end of this year is will be a milestone event in my life, which I would like to share with family, friends and Elvis fans. Everything started in Boston, Massachusetts, where I was born here in Boston on December 31, 1955 in a snowstorm, in a small basement apartment on Saint Botolph street, which is a parallel with Huntington Avenue behind the Prudential Tower building. My mother Adrienne LaQuire brough me into this world alone and by herself. After I was born my mother went upstairs to use the landlord’s phone to call hospital. The ambulance came by and said to my mother “come on now, we have to take you to the hospital”, which my mother replied, “why? his umbilical cord is tie?”. My mother said she didn’t see the landlord for months after that.
This marking my 70th birthday and fifty-five years performing as an Elvis Tribute Artist, after seeing Elvis Presley perform at The Boston Garden back in 1971, and after I’ve spoken to musicians, friends and family members, I will be performing a few times this December and January help to celebrate this special occasion with “Christmas with Elvis” and “Elvis Birthday Bash” shows.
I wish to donate the proceeds to charity and will be looking for places to put on our shows. Please contact me at [email protected]
I want to thank my mother everyone for the great years and memories.
Sincerely,
Roland Julius
