Last week, 55 Morrissey showed up for itself. 

The James Montgomery Band came to Dorchester and blew the doors off the place. 55 years into his career, and they played like they had something to prove — because they were here for a reason.

Celebrity chef Jason Santos of Buttermilk & Bourbon fed the room right before the first note dropped. The stars came out. Boston showed up — not at a hotel ballroom, not at a gala — right here at 55 Morrissey.

To everyone who made the trip: thank you. You didn’t just show up for us. You showed up for every artist in this building.
