Robert Alan Nickerson was born in stoneham , MA in 1977 & at the age of 11 he moveed with his brother Edward Rogers in Virginia Beach,va. In 1999, Robert moved to boston, MA & attended the New England Academy of Hair Design.Unfulfilled by hairdressing alone ,he pursued acting on the set of a local independent film, X-13, by Steven Steinway. ve poportraits & was anaccomplished photographer & further, encouraged by his friends, Robert began creating his unique pieces. In 2007, he met & assisted Boston's local North End artest, Antonio Franco where he learned menny different techniques ranging from mixing colors on multiple mediums to stretching canvas& framing artwork. This exhibition is called BROKEN & represents an invitation to the public at large to Robert Alan Nickerson's world of BROKEN things, that when re-arrangedcan be just as beautiful as when theywere iuntact.
