Here's my brand new and very recently drawn design called Terrace Tile that I’ve submitted to the Mediterranean Hues design challenge!
I decided to go a slightly different route from citrus and olive trees (first thing that comes to mind) and test a little tile layout that I've been seeing around. Minimalist and simple this time 😊

Color explosion alert 🌈😊 My new design called Veggie Rainbow that I've submitted to the Farmers Market design challenge! Fresh vegetables arranged in rainbow stripes, hand drawn with markers on paper. Already available in 2 sizes as fabric, home decor and wallpaper! 🌿 New in my online shop! New England Herbarium square silk scarf. Made to order in Canada 🪡 (I also have a few 36" silk charmeuse ones in stock, so these arrive quick!) Hand painted native New England plants in watercolor by yours truly - throughout last spring and summer. I painted each flower as they bloomed 😊 I have most of them in my garden. Did you know how native plants benefit nature? 🐝 I'm learning more and more each year and realize I still know so little 😊

🖼️ I am participating in an art show in Southborough MA! It is the first juried show for and the topic is "Native Plants". The show will run September 5 through October 13 and the opening reception is this Friday, September 5, 6:30-8:30 pm. There will be more local artists + light refreshments! Art will be for sale.

I have submitted my new scarf design with native plants that, sadly, didn’t arrive on time for the exhibition, so I brought in 9 watercolor originals instead + some other works! Swipe for the show info! (The scarf will be available soon 😉)

My ginger boys Cheddar and Pluto are 1 year old today. 🐈🐈 What a pure joy they have been! I've been away from Instagram, but still creating, even though much less and slower than usual. I've been really into oil painting, taking a weekly class with the wonderful Vincent Crotty. During the summer break, I'm catching up on reading all the books on painting I purchased during the 2 semesters in winter and spring and experimenting with the palette. Planning to get back to plein air - once I beat the anxiety, hehe (almost there). I'm trying to rewire my brain from using premixed colors - it's hard! Also sewing tea towels just the way *I* like them - with the right fabric, label and designs of mine that speak to me 😊 I've painted New England native flowers in watercolor - pattern to come! It was my birthday last week, Cheddar is posing with the beautiful bouquet from my family 🤍 I'm slowly but surely working on my 2nd online class - Painting for Textile Design. I also work 3 days a week in person at a very special place 🌿 What have you been up to?
