MORE WAYS to make music with BYSO!
We’re excited to announce TWO new ways to join BYSO’s Introductory String Orchestra for the 2026–2027 season! Whether you’re ready to start the school year with us or want to jump in after the holidays, there’s now a session for you:

🍂 FALL SESSION | September 26, 2026- December 19, 2026
🌱 SPRING SESSION | January 16, 2027- April 10, 2027
✨ Or go ALL IN with the full-year program starting September 26, 2026 - April 10, 2027

Designed for young string players in grades 1–3 with at least one year of playing experience, ISO is where musicians grow, explore, and discover the joy of making music together.

Every Saturday, students will:
- Build ensemble skills and explore new repertoire with Sébastien Ridoré
- Strengthen music theory, rhythm, and ear training with Adriana Ausch-Simmel
- Learn through playing, moving, singing, and musical puzzles
- Grow in confidence alongside a supportive community of young musicians

And here’s something important: ISO registration does NOT require a BYSO audition!

This summer at ICP Camp, we celebrated the power of music, mentorship, and community!

Every day, students immersed themselves in instrumental group classes, orchestra sessions with Marta Zurad, and chamber music, building their musical skills while experiencing the joy of making music together.

A special part of this summer is welcoming back two ICP alumni, Israel Anselme and Moussa Gueye. Israel and Moussa are currently attending conservatories and returned to ICP Camp as volunteers to give back to the community and inspire the next generation of young musicians.

It’s a beautiful reminder that the ICP community continues to grow and connect long after camp ends.

🥁 Ready to discover the exciting world of percussion?

The BYSO Percussion Lab is an introductory program for students in grades 4–7 who are curious about percussion—no prior percussion experience required! Whether you're trying percussion for the first time or expanding your musical skills, you'll explore everything from snare drum and timpani to marimba, drum set, Latin percussion, and more.

Students will build a strong technical foundation, rotate through a wide variety of percussion instruments, and perform together in a percussion ensemble while developing rhythm, coordination, listening skills, and teamwork.

Build confidence. Make music. Discover the joy of playing together.

The BYSO Introductory String Orchestra is the perfect next step for young string musicians ready to grow in a fun, supportive environment! Designed for students in grades 1–3 with at least one year of playing experience, this program combines orchestra rehearsal with engaging musicianship classes to help students strengthen their technique, music reading, rhythm, ear training, and ensemble skills.

Every Saturday brings new opportunities to play, sing, move, and explore music alongside expert faculty Sébastien Ridoré and Adriana Ausch-Simmel—all while making new friends who share a love of music.
