We’ve been back in the studio this month revisiting some moments from our first show, Gathering the Threads, as we prepare for a brand new production! This brand-new collaborative effort, titled “Gather Together,” draws on the DNA of our very first show, while incorporating new acts and a new soundtrack of jazz standards, folk songs, and operatic arias performed live by the singers of Opera On Tap Boston.

Come see us on Saturday March 29th at 3pm at Boston Lyric Opera’s Opera + Community Studios in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood! And hang out after the show for ice cream from Colleens in Medford. 🍨 All ages are welcome! Tickets are $42 for adults and $12 for kids under 12. Grab your tickets at the link in the comments!

Cirque of the Dead collab announcement! For this year’s spine-chilling show, BCG is thrilled to partner with Circus 617, a Boston-based collective dedicated to conjuring up eerie new works of theatrical circus. While the Boston Circus Guild remains the sinister mastermind behind Cirque of the Dead, Circus 617 is lending crucial hands-on support from the shadows: crafting haunted props, wicked costumes, and creepy scenery, and lurking in the wings to assist should any unexpected horrors arise. We're howling with excitement to summon fresh energy into Cirque of the Dead and to reap the darkly magical production experience of the Circus 617 team!

Welcome to our new page!

Circus 617 is a collective dedicated to highlighting Boston-based professional circus artists in new works of contemporary circus, created right here in the city we love. Circus 617 productions meld the spectacular, expressive physicality of circus with theatrical and musical methods of storytelling. Founded in 2020, Circus 617 received a LAB grant from the Boston Foundation in 2021 to create its debut ensemble production, Gathering the Threads.
