Bruhhhhh a true OG

If you thought we were gonna stop at the musical feature ..think again! Here is your Woketober Dance Feature!!!!

Mac was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Charlestown for most of his life. Mac started dancing when he was about 17 when he first saw his friend Mike dancing on cardboard outside his house. "This opened a whole new life and adventure for me, " says Mac. He has been dancing for about 9 years and loves battling and teaching kids. He was inspired to dance by people such as Fadayz, his best friend Noel, Jomo, Danny and others. Mac is now a member of the Self Expression Project, a team of individuals who set out to accomplish life long goals together.

Mac’s dreams and goals are to be able to Dj, dance battle across the globe and also run the event he founded, “Kids Jam”, an event for kids to dance and express themselves in a safe environment. Mac feels that dance is beyond moves but serves as a purpose to help people. Living in a low-income community he found dance as a way to help the kids everywhere and even save some of their lives. “Dance is my anti-drug. By being pre-occupied with learning a new dance move a child doesn’t have time for drugs and getting into trouble.” Thus Macs mantra, “Dance saves lives.”

Here we go its our third and FINAL summer edition of the Experience in Lowell Mass!!! For our last Summer 2016 hoorah we have an Experience regular and musical powerhouse coming to bless the Mic. Here is your August musical feature!

Santiago Paredes, known by his stage name “Santi C,” is a Latino-American singer and songwriter. Reflecting a variety of influences including Justin Nozuka, Ernie Halter and Ne-Yo, Santi C is among a crop of acoustic-soul artists who lead listeners through a flow of musical improvisation and groove.

Born a drummer, Santi C was musically raised under the guidance of his father, where he developed a keen sense for tuneful and syncopated performance, playing Latin Gospel music at church and R&B/funk music in bands for various conferences and weddings. In his late teen years, he self-taught piano and began singing in monthly acoustic performances at Chelmsford High School. As he entered college at UMASS Lowell, he committed himself to growing as a singer/songwriter and developed vocally while self-teaching guitar and performing regularly at university functions. In July 2015, he had the honor of guest performing with Ernie Halter in Franklin, TN, and a year later he performed again with Ernie Halter at the local coffee house, “Brew’d Awakening” -- just this past July.

He has recently released his first EP, entitled “From The Start” – a collection of love songs dedicated to his wife and a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space.”

You can find him on social media:
