I know there are a lot of ways to level up in Elden Ring, and I’m sure others may have realized this trick too, but my son and I found a way by using tall ladders. Like of lot of video games the enemies get confused when you’re climbing a ladder. Going down a ladder when being chased (about 3 rungs down), then try to charge at you, in turn causing them to fall. On high ladders this often kills them. Then you get the runes and can pick up any items they left behind. This even works on tough enemies, as long as they can climb ladders. In this video I give an example. Even if you die you can still get your runes, just don’t die again before you go to retrieve them. Good luck 😁👍.

These enemies fall for this ladder trick almost every time. Fast way to level up. Have some enemies chase you to a tall ladder, then climb down about 2 to 3 ...

Happy Sunday everyone. If any of you are looking for a great wired controller for your PC, Mac, or really any computer/system that has a USB port, I highly suggest the Logitech F310 controller. It’s only $13.95!! It feels super comfortable (similar to a PS2 controller) and all the buttons feel just right and are super responsive. It has every button that a PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 controller would have. These controllers are great and most computers/systems see it as an Xbox 360 controller and a majority of the games have all the buttons mapped out. A prime example is Steam. Games such as Resident Evil games, Flatout games, Street Fighter games, Assassin’s Creed games, Modern Warfare games etc. map it exactly as if it were on the console systems. Most games you can just jump right in and not even need to go to the controller setup. If you are into fighting and retro games such as I am, the d-pad works perfectly and is not clunky like other cheap controllers. Because of this controller being seen as an Xbox 360 controller setting up emulators and button mapping is super easy. I’m not sure how long this will be a price this low, so get yours now… or maybe a few. Wireless is great, but hardwired is most reliable and responsive. I’ve had 4 of these for years and still use them any time I play on the computer or emulators 😁👍👾

**FREE AWESOME GAME**
Happy almost Friday everyone. If you’re an Evil Dead fan as much as I am I highly suggest getting the new Evil Dead game for free on Epic Games. This game is supposed to be awesome and has gotten really high ratings. It looks great and the characters look and sound like the movies and TV show. Even the locations look like the movies/show. Lots of gore, action and Evil Dead insanity. This has multiplayer and now single player. Don’t miss this one. The free offer ends 11/24. https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/evil-dead-the-game

I was going through and packing up more stuff to put in storage and came across one of my more unique game consoles. It’s the Coleco Telstar Arcade system. I bought this for $5 at the Malden Flea Market in the early 90’s. It’s triangular, brown and has paddle controllers on one side, a steering wheel and shifter on one, and a gun and holster. It uses D-cell batteries too, but also has a small jack for power (can use the Atari 2600 power supply I think) and the sound comes from the console, not the TV set. The cartridge is a triangle shape and has a game for each controller. The bottom has suction cups too. This system and its controls still work great and the gun looks pretty realistic and has no orange or colored tip that toys these days do. The hammer actually comes back when the trigger is pulled, which many light guns don’t do. In the shooting game on it you can actually shoot the guys hat off. The steering wheel of course has no feedback like new ones do and is very sensitive, but works nicely with the basic racing game that is on the cartridge. The paddle controls work well too and do the job well for the Pong knockoff game on the cartridge. One of these days I’ll hook this up again and record it. It really is a cool and strange system 😁👍👾

I found my Atari 5200 Trak-Ball controller today while packing stuff up. This thing is great and I used it when playing Centipede and Missile Command. That’s the only way to truly play these games. Can’t believe this controller was $78.88 back in the early 80’s. Bradlees had some weird pricing amounts. Glad I saved this. Colecovision also had the awesome Roller Controller which was similar to this one, but that one let you plug the controllers into it, like an extension.

It seems that most years the big game system battles are often between 3 console makers. Like right now it is the PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One/Series X and Nintendo Switch. There was one year I recall there were 4 consoles competing. There was the Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo Game Cube. They came out at different times, but existed as being in the same generation. The Dreamcast however sadly faded away. first. That was a great system. It used to be that the average lifespan of a game system being popular or a must have was 4 years, but with systems such as the Xbox 360, Wii and others the time span seems to have expanded. I can’t wait to see what the future will bring.

It’s crazy that Sony is raising the price of the PlayStation 5, but luckily not in America. It’s a pretty crappy move still because most people in the world couldn’t get one because of the lowlife scalpers, now they’re subjected to inflation. You’d think since we’re two years in they’d lower the price a bit to get more systems into homes. Also allow one PS5 per person and require some type of authentication to deter scalping.
