Not for nothing yall, but I was the only drag king in this whole competition and I made it all the way to the finale! I think that’s pretty kick ass, I’ll take it 🤭

My runway look for week 4 of The Big Competition, theme: FUNERAL

This look was inspired by the work of French poet and artist John Cocteau who created work involving disembodied hands/arms to draw parallels between reality, art, and the subconscious-IE hands of fate.
I also drew inspiration from traditional Victorian mourning garb which in itself is extremely macabre, honestly the whole attitude that Victorian’s had around death was beautifully romantic and chilling.

This was one of the harder things I’ve made, but the arms have full joint articulation in them-I really appreciate the challenge and I’m proud of my self for accomplishing a creation I’ve dreamed of creating.
