Helllloooo!!
It’s been a while, we have a few new friends here now, and to be honest I’m not really even sure I did ever do a introduction post, so I figure now is a good at time as any to throw one up and that might help explain where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to lately 🤷🏼♀️ I should warn you, I’m probably going to get a little long winded here, so bare with me 😉
For the newbies, first of all WELCOME 🎉 I’m Denise…aka Nini, Gigi, Dee, Niecey, Scoot…. I go by many a name which kinda makes sense seeing I like to wear so many different hats and I like to get into all kinds of different things from baking to resin pouring to beading to Pilates to healthy living to dabbling in writing children’s stories… Tell me you have ADHD without telling me… 🤣
I used to joke around about not knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up… and I don’t just mean as a teenager or young adult… pretty sure I made reference last week! 🤪 For the majority of my adult years I have been an educator. While I truly loooooved being a teacher, truth is- it burnt me OOOUUTTT and the pay wasn’t ever anything to get excited about.
About 2 years ago things started to go a little wonky… I’m not going to bore you with all the details and nonsense that I went through, but I will say it was less than an ideal situation. Truth be told, the nonsense acutally put my entire career on the line and had me questioning a LOT. Thankfully the truth prevailed and everything worked out, but damage had been done. I moved on and went to another center and while nothing catastrophic or traumatizing happened, I realized that I needed a break from the classroom. I loved working with the kids, but I was done with all the behind the scenes nonsense of daycare life. I knew I had to get out, at least for a little bit before I started resenting my career choice.
A lot of life has also happened over the last few years and I realized that having a stream of income that can travel with me, if need be, was definitely something I had to prioritize. Lucky for me one of my most favorite families of all time had the need for a nanny and I was able to take my early childhood skills to the private sector with time and flexibility in my schedule to foster that mobile stream of income 🎉
So I took a leap and made the move and attempted to get a couple of differnet online businesses running. There’s a lot more to networking marketing, that’s for sure!! It is NOT for the faint of heart!! I will say that I learned A LOT and I could probably take up the next hour of your time talking about it all, but I’ll just keep it to 2 major points.
1. You have to partner with the right company with products that you believe in and align with your life. You are NOT going to want to post and share about anything you don’t love or use on a regular basis.
2. Timing is everything. I know how cliche and silly it sounds, but it really is true. You could have the most amazing opporutunity fall into your lap, but you might have entirely too much going on in your life to be able to accept it and THAT’S OKAY. I had a really hard time with this one. Impatient doesn’t begin to explain 🤣
Now again, I could go on and on about this, but I’ll hit the fast forward button a little….
While all this career nonsense was going on, I have also been on somewhat of a health journey too. In 2016 I saw pics of myself and it was not good… it was not okay…. over 10+ years of working overnights I had really let my health go. I was 210 pounds and miserable. Over the years I went through phases of being super motivated with fitness but consistent wasn’t something that seemed to stick. I did really change up my eating habits and that was probably the biggest help, but the weight didn’t seem to stay off. Fast fast forward to May last year when my sweet friend Christy Hosey Hardy introduced me to Q Sciences.
Q Sciences is a health and wellness based company and while yes, it does follow the Network Marketing or MLM business model, this company is DIFFERENT. Different different, not just “has products no one else has” or “pays better than the other companies.” I mean yeah those are both true, but it’s mind blowing just how different it is here. The community is like no other and everything about Q just seems to fill all the voids for me and finds missing puzzles pieces I didn’t even realize I was missing!! Again, could go on, but you’ll get the idea if you follow along 😉
The changes I have seen in my health, my fitness, my mental clarity, and my mood are nothing short of amazing. I actually look forward to working out now and I feel crappy when don’t!! That has NEVER happened for me!! I’m noticing a lot more productivity and I’m sleeping like a baby!! My BFF and I were talking a few weeks ago and he looked at me and said, “Nini, Q has kind of been like a blessing for you, huh?” Yeah!! It really has!! Because on top of all the above mentioned greatness, I’ve also started on a spirtual journey that I didn’t even realize my sould was longing for. Religion wasn’t really something my family was ever really into and church always seemed like a chore rather than a time to foster your relationship with the Lord. So I’m getting to know Him now.
All in all it’s been a roller coaster of a couple of years, but I wouldn’t change and damn thing!! Even the bad s**t!! Bring it all on because we don’t learn the life lessons to get us through when everything is all sunshine and rainbows. What I do know is that I’m ready to take on whatever comes my way. I’ve learned a lot about a lot the last couple of years, but I’m definitely not done learning and sharing too!! You guys know how I like to share when I find good stuff, so stay tuned!! I’ll at least make it entertaining 🤪🤣💖
