Exciting stuff - please read until the end!
Hi everyone,
Begin or continue your WCS journey this Saturday morning, Jun 6th, for the start of our next 6 week series of Fundamental and Intermediate/Advanced WCS classes. Rhythm in Shoes has been developing successful WCS dancers ongoing since 2002!
Our Fundamental WCS classes are from 10:00a until 11:00a and build or reinforces the foundation for good solid WCS dancing. This class is both for beginners and dancers who already know WCS and want to continually improve their WCS dancing. Intermediate and advanced dancers would find this information surprisingly informative and helpful. We consider this class to be the most important class that you should take.
"Average dancers think practicing fundamentals is what beginners do - Great dancers know practicing fundamentals is what champions do".

From 11:00a until 11:30a there is a combined practice session.

From 11:30a until 12:30p we have our Intermediate/Advanced WCS. In this class we develop a philosophy where the leaders have a choice of endings to the patterns and the followers have more choices for different syncopations and additions to the choreography for better musicality.(to enjoy this class your WCS dancing should be solid).
NOTE ===> On Thursday June 11th at 7:00p we are beginning a "More Advanced patterns and movement" 6 week series where we will be teaching some of the more interesting movements that are currently being danced on the social floor. If you are interested in One Foot Spins, Ducks, Leans, Dips and more Footwork & Styling then you will really enjoy this class. This class will be open to anyone although I do recommend that your WCS foundation be sound.
The cost for our classes is as follows;
The cost for a single 6-week session of classes is $100. No pre registration is necessary but always helpful. If you combine any 2 classes that we offer, the cost is $150 giving you the second class for 1/2 price. The cost for any 3 classes we offer is $200 giving you one class free. The cost of a single class(drop in) is $20. We accept cash, check(made out to 'RIS') or Venmo.
All classes are held in the St. Peter's church hall located at 215 Boulevard in Mountain Lakes NJ.

Hi Everyone, Here is what is going on at RIS.
Our Thursday class format is changing after the completion of the current series. on June 11th we are beginning a "Just Patterns and Footwork" 6 week series where we will be teaching some of the more interesting movements that are currently being danced on the social floor. If you are interested in ONE FOOT SPINS, DUCKS, LEANS, DIPS AND MORE FOOTWORK & STYLING then you will really enjoy this class. This class will be open to anyone. I do recommend that your WCS foundation be sound.

Tomorrow, Saturday(5/30) is the last class in the current 6 week series of Fundamental WCS and Intermediate/Advanced WCS classes. Both Series will begin again on June 6th.

This is a reminder that because of a church event, we will not be having a social this Sunday May 17th. Our next social will be the 3rd Sunday in June.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!!!
Next Thursday May 14th is the 4th class in our 6 week series of Pre Intermediate WCS. The series will end on June 4th. Hi Everyone,
Here is a notice about tomorrow's WCS classes.
The church has asked me to begin my Saturday classes at 10:30a instead of 10:00a tomorrow morning. So the Fundamental WCS class will begin at 10:30a. there will be no 30 minute practice session and the Intermediate Advanced class will start at it's normal time of 11:30a.

Hi Everyone,
Here is what we have going on at RIS.
First, for those of you who write checks for lessons please make them out to Phil LaMothe from now on and no longer to "RIS". Thanks.
This coming Saturday(4/18) is the 2nd class in our 6 week series of Saturday Fundamental(at 10:00a) and Intermediate / Advanced (at 11:30a) WCS classes. It's not to late to join the classes or you can stop in for a single class for $20
This Sunday(4/18) is our monthly lesson and social. There is an Intermediate WCS lesson at 2:00p followed by dancing at 3:00p. admission is $20 for the lesson and social and $15 for just the social. Water and light refreshments are included.

Hi Everyone,
Here is what we have going on this month at RIS.
First, it was so great having Mark Yeager back in class again after a long absence. He is one of our favorite people and dancers.
This Thursday(4/16) is the first class of our Pre-Intermediate WCS 6 week series. This class is a bridge between fundamental skills and the skills needed to advance to the intermediate/advanced level.
This coming Saturday(4/18) is the 2nd class in our 6 week series of Saturday Fundamental(at 10:00a) and Intermediate / Advanced (at 11:30a) WCS classes. It's not to late to join the classes or you can stop in for a single class for $20
