Exciting news! As part of the October game list, I’m gonna be marathoning The Witcher 3! I’ll be playing every night until we beat the game 🎮 I’m thinking this’ll take about one week - so during that timeframe I’ll have some pretty sweet benefits lined up for y’all. Right now I’m planning some on-stream giveaways and special guests (like other CPAs, Financial Advisors, and guest Gamers). This is a little daunting since it’s my first playthrough of the game, but still exciting 😂 There’ll definitely be something for everyone in this marathon - whether you’re in for the gameplay, or have some money questions that are bugging you, it’ll be the perfect time to kick it with me and have some fun! More to come on this in the coming weeks 👍🏻

Had to take a break from the screen and get outside for a minute today! Between Excel and video games, I stare at a screen way too much 😂 So definitely appreciative of small breaks, especially when it’s a gorgeous day like today ☀️

One loan paid in full baby!! Got the grad plus paid off, thanks to 0% interest from the CARES act. I’ve still got one big loan to go, but celebrating the little wins along the way. 🎉

This year is going to be a different story for me financially. I’ve always struggled with setting budgets and sticking to them (especially with leaving enough at the end to save). That’s why I’ve decided to automate as much of my savings as I can 💸
In my new post, you can see the steps I went through to set this up and pay myself first. My goal with this is to fully fund my emergency fund by the end of June 😬
Im pretty excited to start, but it’s definitely going to be far and beyond what I’ve ever done before. What are your financial goals for 2019? How are you going to keep up and hold yourself accountable?

Impromptu beach trip the other weekend when it was still sunny and 60 degrees. ☀️ Our weather in the 30s today had me reminiscing.
I lived in Wilmington for a year and a half for grad school at and this was the first time I’ve walked around campus since graduation. Gotta say it brought back some pretty good memories...even with the whole campus empty with everyone gone for the holidays 😂
🌊 After campus, we hit Tower 7 for some tacos and margaritas then out to Wrightsville Beach. If you’re ever in NC, this is one of the best beaches you’ll find IMO.
Random day trips like this have spawned some of my favorite memories. Took this one as a final getaway before busy season gets real. Blessed to live in a state where a ridiculous amount of beauty is within day trip range 🙏🏻 @ Wilmington, North Carolina

Finished reading Tribes by the other night. Absolutely fantastic. It represents exactly what I’m trying to do with FinanciaLion and what I think anyone trying to actually lead (at work, in an organization, etc.) should be doing. I love the way it reads too. Seth Godin’s ability to be concise and pack so much meaning into a sentence is something I truly admire. Go pick up a copy!!
