ON THIS DAY IN 1952 -

'The Board of Southern Appalachian Historical Association met at the Skyline Restaurant on September 8, 1952 with D. J. Whitener presiding. Present were Wade E. Brown, Mrs. J. B. Winkler, Stanley Harris, Mrs. Earleen G. Pritchett, Russell Hodges, R. E. Agle, James Marsh, Mrs. B. W. Stallings, Clyde R. Greene, and W. R. Winkler; also Mrs. Miriam Rabb and Mason Bliss.' .... 'Mrs. Rabb reported that a total of 12,241 cars had been listed on the parking lot of Daniel Boone Theatre this summer with every state represented except Utah. The first ten states, in order, were North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania.'

Unto These Hills is open Monday through Saturday through August 22nd. Gates open at 7pm and pre-show entertainment begins at 7:30pm. The show begins at 8pm and runs approximately 2 hours

Tickets start at $35 for adults and $25 for youth, excluding card fees. Children ages 5 and under receive free admission. Free and/or discounted tickets available for enrolled members of federally recognized tribes
