This is the age my kids were when I was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. It was this trip to Jasper when I had to face the fact that sometimes just walking 1/4 mile caused everything to seize up and maybe it was more than just a slow recovery from my last back surgery.

When I think about those years, Eika and Henry were so capable and grown up in my memories. I sent them into the store to do the grocery shopping because some days I couldn't even make it to the back of the store to get a gallon of milk.

Is it any wonder that those two are out conquering the world?
