Museum Month starts soon! San Diego’s Museum Month 2026 will be BIGGER and MORE FUN with more than 70 museums, historic sites, gardens, aquariums and more starting February 1!

YOU can now pick up a free Museum Month printed pass at any of 80+ San Diego City or County public libraries, five libraries in Imperial County, or at select educational libraries.

In Bonita, pick up your pass at the Bonita-Sunnyside County Library.

You can also find digital passes on the San Diego Museum Council website: sandiegomuseumcouncil.org

In our Collective Power The Red Tipi brings us together throughout Turtle Island to Honor our Stolen Sisters and Relatives by acknowledging they were loved, they mattered, and to lift up their families.

Weaving together our Territories, standing in our Sovereignty to end the devastating inhumane continuation of Violence against Indigenous Peoples seen as MMIW/R.

Walking In Beauty, Life as Ceremony is a new exhibition at the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center, displaying information about missing and murdered indigenous women. Organized and curated by Artivists Way of the Sacred Mountain organization, Teyana Viscarra and Norm Sands with Heather Gallana, Indigenous Cultures Educator at the museum. The Honoring Ceremonies with blessings will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 4pm – 8pm.

Way of the Sacred Mountain is an Indigenous-led, grassroots partnership that breaks the silence on the brutal truths of the past and the continuing injustices of the present through their ongoing efforts to raise awareness of crucial issues impacting Indian Country, especially the crisis of MMIW, Missing and Murdered Indigenous Warriors. They provide a safe space and a call for healing through prayer, action and remembrance.
