Celebrating 60 Years of Service in Bolingbrook!
This year, the Bolingbrook Lions Club proudly celebrates its 60th anniversary! Join us at our celebration on November 16th at The Levy Center!
Our club was chartered in 1966, beginning a tradition of service that has continued for six decades. From the very start, our members have shared one simple mission: to help where help is needed and to live by the Lions motto, “We Serve.”
Over the years, that mission has taken many forms. The Bolingbrook Lions have helped provide eyeglasses and hearing assistance, supported vision and hearing screenings, awarded scholarships, helped local families, collected used eyeglasses for reuse, supported food pantries, and partnered with many local organizations and community programs. We are also proud of traditions such as Beep Baseball, fundraising events, community celebrations, and projects that bring people together while helping others.
A lot has changed in Bolingbrook since 1966, but one thing has stayed the same, the heart of our club. Generations of Lions have volunteered their time, shared their talents, raised funds, and worked side by side to make a difference. Along the way, we have made lasting friendships, welcomed new members, and built a history filled with service, laughter, teamwork, and community pride.
As we celebrate our Diamond Anniversary of 60 years strong, we want to thank every Lion, volunteer, supporter, sponsor, and community member who has been part of our story. We are proud of where we have been, excited about where we are going, and ready to keep serving Bolingbrook for many years to come.
