The Bad Plus is giving a free masterclass in the recital hall at 2:30 today. They are on their farewell tour and will be performing at the Shrine on Friday night. Come check them out TODAY in the recital hall. Open to the public!

The Bad Plus is concluding their 26-year career with a 2026 farewell tour featuring bassist Reid Anderson, drummer Dave King, guitarist Ben Monder, and saxophonist Chris Speed. The tour includes North American dates running from April through June 2026, with stops in Seattle, Boise (Shrine Social Club Ballroom), New York City, and Montreal.

Courtesy of our colleagues in the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, we are delighted to host a one-hour masterclass with this group in our Recital Hall (C200).

Students and members of the public are welcome to attend!
