Led by Micah Wish — performer, choreographer, and community advocate — this workshop fuses sharp popping techniques, grounded masculine movement, and theatrical flair to help you step into your power.
In this series, you’ll:
- Master masculine dance foundations with locked-in moves and dynamic/iconic choreo combos.
- Explore popping techniques that amplify stage persona and precision.
- Build confidence through swagger-driven storytelling and signature Magic Micah style moves.
- Connect with a supportive community of kings, things, and in-betweens, raising visibility together.
- Train in a space welcoming all skill levels and abilities — whether you’re brand new or seasoned on stage.
Whether you’re new to masculine dance or refining your king persona, Masc Motion – Lock & Load is your training ground for confidence, presence, and performance firepower. Come ready to sweat, swag, and sharpen your craft.
What you need:
Knee pads (not required, but recommended), water bottle, attire that allows easy movement

$75 for 3-week series, with the opportunity to perform in a group number during February's Mic Drop

Micah Wish is a dynamic Drag king who has been performing since 2022, backed by over 20 years of live performing experience. Known for high-energy numbers, locked-in choreography, and immersive character work, Micah brings magic to every show with masterful use of props, costuming, and movement. He's lit up Boise's biggest stages - including Treefort Music Hall and the Boise Pride Mainstage - and frequently collaborates with fellow artists to push creative boundaries. As co-producer of Boise's first ALL Drag King Brunch - Mascs for Mimosas, Micah is a fierce advocate for King visibility and has toured stages across the western U.S.
