🖤 August is Black Philanthropy Month! 🖤
Black philanthropy is more than giving—it is a legacy of community, generosity, resilience, and collective care.
For generations, Black communities have supported one another through our time, talents, resources, mentorship, advocacy, and service. Black Philanthropy Month gives us an opportunity to recognize that history while celebrating the individuals and organizations continuing that work today.
The Boise Soul Food Festival is proud to be part of that spirit of community. Our festival would not be possible without the people, businesses, organizations, sponsors, volunteers, and community members who give their time and resources to help create spaces where Black culture can be celebrated and community connections can grow.
This month, we encourage you to think about philanthropy beyond financial giving. Support a Black-owned business. Volunteer. Mentor someone. Share your knowledge. Donate. Advocate. Show up.
Every contribution has the power to strengthen a community. ❤️🖤💛
When we pour into our community, our community grows.
