CALLING ALL COSPLAYERS!!!!!!

October 26th we will be hosting a Cosplay meet up and CONTEST!!!

We will be hosting an appreciation event for our local cosplaying community and would love to invite you all to join us. To start the day, we will be having a class on leather mask making from 10am to 1pm. The rest of the day our staff will be on hand to answer any questions you have in using leather and TeraFlex in costuming or even help with designing or completing a particularly tricky bit.

To top it off, at 4pm we will be hosting a cosplay contest with prizes for the winners. So show us your best and it could net you some sweet loot from Tandy.

Are you stuck? Want to learn a new tool? Want to learn a new technique? Come in any time and our expert staff with be here to help. No need to reserve a spot or stay for the whole duration.

Saturday, October 12th
Basic Tooling
Cost: FREE!
10am – 1pm

Learn to use the seven basic stamping and carving tools. In this class, you will practice with the tools, so you can be comfortable using them. Please provide your own basic seven tool set and mallet. All other materials will be provided.

Saturday, October 19th
Make A Pumpkin!!
10am – 1pm
Cost: $5 per person

Learn to make a simple, leather pumpkin. Perfect for fall decorations! We will be learning the skills of cutting, hand stitching, assembling, and finishing. All tools and materials will be provided.

Saturday, October 26th
Mask Making Class
10am-1pm
Cost: $10 PER PERSON

Just in time for Halloween! We will be using wet-formed veg-tan, dyes, and paints to create a custom mask. All supplies and tools will be provided. Space is limited so students need to call/email on or before 10/24 to reserve a spot in the class.

Happy August!!
It is time again for a new round of exciting classes to introduce you to the diverse world of leathercrafting. This month we will be covering some of the basics as well as some awesome projects. We can’t wait to get to the table and have some fun.
Aug 10th Basic Tooling
10am – 1pm
FREE!!
We will be learning the basics of leather carving and tooling to add flare to any project and is a relaxing hobby. We will work from start to finish on a great floral design. We will also be teaching proper care and maintenance of your tools. We do ask that participants please bring a swivel knife as loaner supplies are limited.
Aug 17th Shaving/Makeup Bag
10am – 1pm
$20 (covers cost of materials)
This simple pattern is great for travelers as a toiletries bag or easily modified for belt pouches and clutch purses. This class is also a great primer into patterning and stitching in leather. We will provide all you need to complete this project, so all you need to bring is a desire to have fun.
Aug 24th Basic Staining
10am – 1pm
FREE!!
This class is an introduction to color treatments for leather. We will be covering how to use water, spirit, and oil-based stains as well antiquing, sealing, and painting leather. We will also be teaching the beautiful and dynamic Hombre technique.
Aug 31st Journal Making
10am – 1pm
$20
Back by popular demand, we will be teaching a simple journal making pattern perfect for anyone’s style. This great pattern is simple and elegant and leaves enough room to customize to everyone’s taste.
Space for classes is limited so we ask everyone to give us a call or email to reserve space.
