Ballet Idaho’s 26.27 season has arrived, and season ticket packages are now available with early bird pricing through June 7.
As we prepare to bring the fairytale splendor of Cinderella to the Morrison Center next week, we are reminded once again that live performance is made meaningful by the people who gather to experience it.
Without further ado, we present the Ballet Idaho’s 54th season:
WESTWARDWe open our 54th season with a sweeping collection of works inspired by the spirit of the American West, featuring George Balanchine’s Square Dance, James Kudelka’s The Man In Black, Dana Genshaft’s Undertow, and Garrett Anderson and Anne Mueller’s Appalachian Spring.
THE NUTCRACKEROur beloved holiday tradition returns with the Boise Philharmonic, carrying audiences from the warmth of the Stahlbaum party to the snowy forest and the color-saturated Land of the Sweets.
ANTHOLOGYBallet Idaho’s annual celebration of contemporary ballet returns with world premieres, expanded works, returning favorites, and Johan Inger’s unforgettable Walking Mad.
FAMILY SERIESThis season’s Family Series looks to the sky and beyond with a new work inspired by space and the solar system, choreographed by Anne Mueller to Gustav Holst’s The Planets, alongside an excerpt from Robyn Mineko Williams’ Cloudline.
SWAN LAKEClosing the season, Garrett Anderson and Anne Mueller’s breathtaking Swan Lake returns to the Morrison Center with Tchaikovsky’s soaring score and one of the most powerful stories ever created for the stage.
From the American frontier to the moonlit world of Swan Lake, a new season of ballet awaits.
