Strange Landscapes - A survey exhibition of artists exploring landscapes from art schools across Australia and America in 2024.
August 23 - October 31, 2024.
10 - 5pm Tuesday-Fridays.
Blue Galleries, Boise, Idaho. U.S.A.
This is an exhibition I have curated recently here in America with four artists from Australia and four artists from America. These artists are all exploring the landscape genre in their art, but from wildly different perspectives. From the untamed wilderness of Alaska to the arid expanses of orange soil found in outback Australia, from the tranquil blue waters of Sydney Harbour to the winding Boise River, these landscapes span the spectrum. Deserts and urban centers across mainland America and Australia, including iconic landmarks in bustling metropolises like New York City and National Parks, contribute to this rich panorama of imagery.
The exhibition is run across two venues, the Blue Galleries - with physical artworks, and the Stein Luminary - with digital interactive artworks.
