Have you ever watched contact improvisation at ecstatic dance and felt a spark of curiosity? This 5-week series beginning Thurs Sept 26th invites you to step into that world—whether you're brand new or have just a little experience. Together, we’ll explore the art of non-verbal communication, discovering how to move with others while maintaining healthy boundaries and embracing joyful connection.
Led by two professional dancers, this series is designed to help you feel fully yourself in the presence of others. Each week, we'll build on foundational principles of contact improvisation, creating a safe and supportive environment—what we call "BraveSpace"—where you can take risks, be authentic, and grow in confidence.
By the end, you’ll have developed not only new movement skills but also a deeper understanding of how to trust your body and communicate without words. As part of this unique opportunity, the class will be videoed to create a future online series. You’ll have access to revisit the work through the video once it’s available, deepening your learning even after the series ends.
This is a closed container, ensuring a cohesive group and deeper experience—no drop-ins, and no prerequisites. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore.
