Condolences to the Georgilakis family, from everyone at Hyde Park Street Fair. Gus’s incredible food truck, Zorba the Greek, was a long-time participant (nearly 30 years!) in the Fair and we are so sorry to hear of his passing. 💙

Our Brother and Dear Friend, Gus Georgilakis, a beloved son, brother, uncle, restaurant owner, mentor, loyal friend, and cherished part of the Boise community, passed away on May 15, 2026.

Gus touched so many lives with his kindness, humor, generosity, and the genuine way he cared for everyone around him. Through Romio’s, he built not just a restaurant, but a family of staff, customers, and lifelong friends who meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed by his family, employees, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, our family asks that donations be made to the Boise Greek Food Festival, an event and celebration that was very close to Gus’ heart. https://tinyurl.com/s7apmx4d

VENDORS: Scam Warning!

We have unfortunately had several vendors report that they have received emails from individuals who are not affiliated with Hyde Park Street Fair, but are claiming they are.

These scammers are asking vendors to make payments and in some cases informing vendors they have been accepted to the Fair. At least one email was sent from someone calling themselves “Randy Seal.”

PLEASE NOTE: Fair acceptance notifications will not be sent until June 1st, and will come from our official [email protected] email. No one named Randy or Randy Seal is affiliated with Hyde Park Street Fair. Invoices will only be sent from Square; not from a personal email account.

🎤New for the 2026 Hyde Park Street Fair: an application process for entertainers who would like to perform on one of our two stages!

🎸Historically, stage schedules have been filled by invitation only. This year, we wanted to invite the many (many!) performers who reach out to us each year to submit an application to be considered for one of our two stages.

🎶Please note that we will consider music, dancing, and some limited other types of acts. All acts must be family-friendly. Selection is at the sole discretion of Hyde Park Street Fair organizers.
