Gallery Cushing Terrell Open hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm We also host First Thursday receptions, open to the public, where people can come meet the artist.

Free of charge, Gallery Cushing Terrell (in our Boise office) offers its walls to local artists on which they can display collections of their work. The space is open for public viewing weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and all works of art are for sale.

Join us tonight for First Thursday at Gallery Cushing Terrell! Our featured artist is John Taye, a retired Boise State University art professor who has taught painting, drawing, and sculpture for 30-plus years.

His show at Gallery Cushing Terrell features still life paintings inspired by Idaho landscapes and subjects, including work that showcases paintings within paintings.

You can find us on the 8th floor of the Zion's Bank Building in downtown Boise: 800 W. Main St., Ste. 800. We'll be open to the public between 5-8 p.m.

We’re pleased to welcome artist and longtime Boise State University art professor John Taye to Gallery Cushing Terrell for First Thursday at our office in downtown Boise, Idaho. John has a selection of his artwork up on our gallery walls, and he’ll be here to share his inspiration and the stories behind his work.

We’ll be open to the public from 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, and we’d love to have you join us for this event — a local tradition that’s meant to support artists across the Treasure Valley.

Per John’s artist statement, he says: “By training and by temperament, I am a representational painter. I enjoy the people, places, and objects that are a part of my everyday life. Using these as subject matter, I try to compose images that have a peaceful feeling, sometimes with a touch of humor or whimsy. Even though the paintings are illusionistic and draw on classical traditions, they usually have abstract design elements underneath.”

You can find us at 800 W. Main Street, Suite 800, in the Zions Bank Building on the eighth floor. We hope to see you next week!
