It is with a bitter sweet heart that I announce the following:
As of December 19th, 2023, Sound in Motion will no longer be holding regular group classes during the week.
We will be continuing Socials and doing more workshop style classes.
Current students have recieved an email as well.
After much prayer and consideration, we decided that it is finally time for me to be home more with the kids. I’ve wanted this for many years but always felt guided to continue with the studio. I’m beyond thrilled to be home with my kids! That is the sweet part.
The bitter part is that I won’t get to come teach and dance with all of you most days of the week. I love what I do. I count myself blessed to have had a position that I love soooo much! I love the community that is here at Sound in Motion and am grateful to have gotten to know all of my students.
Don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye at all. If anything, I’ll have more time for social dancing. We will be holding many killer workshops as well as continuing our socials. I will still be doing private lessons one or two days per week.
I have loved teaching and watching you grow and I'm excited to be able to continue to teach in way that will let me be an even better teacher for you and not burn out.
You are more than welcome to join us for our last session beginning November 27th. Contact us to register for our last month of reagular group classes.

Reno Prep workshops
January 2nd 6pm-7:30pm Body Isolations, Shines, and Musicality (This workshop will be for both leaders and followers and is going to focus all on adding flavor to your moves and how to apply it while you are dancing!)
January 3rd 6pm-7:30pm Patterns and Combos (Level 2+, This workshop is for very strong level 2 dancers. We will be learning non syllabus patters and moves that are solid level 2+ moves that should come easily so we can move quickly and get you a bunch of new moves for Reno.)
January 12th 6:30-8:30pm Sensual Bachata
January 12th 8:30pm Party Class and social

January 24th 7:30-8:30pm Followers styling (Here’s where we get to do it all on our own timing and with Followers flair!)
