I hadn’t laid eyes on this mug since 2018. I found it last year while visiting my tutu in Hawaii - remnants from when I was living in her basement.
I designed this and some throw pillows on , cut stickers with my Silhouette, and “pitched” my first wholesale deal to my favorite little boutique having absolutely no idea what I was doing.
Mo was so gracious. She walked me through the difference between wholesale and consignment, let me steal a corner of her store, do some signage, and even tag along at her booth at the Kona Stroll market.
This island and so many of its people forever hold such a special place in my heart. It’s where I really started to dream big and imagine a life beyond what I thought was possible for myself. It taught me about destruction by fire, and rebuilding on ashes. It taught me to trust the process and ride the wave.
That little corner of Sugar Momo’s is where Moonstruck was born (although it was Keaolani Designs at the time🤪). I had no idea what I was doing - but I showed up anyway. Still doing the same thing 7 years later🫠
Mad love for the ãina, it’s people, and this chapter of life🌙💕✨
