🐾🎶 Happy National Dog Day from the Capital City Flute Club! 🎶🐾

Today we’re celebrating the four-legged friends who put up with our practicing, listen to the same tricky measures over and over, and somehow still think we’re amazing. 🐶💜🎵

Whether your pup is your biggest fan, your most honest audience member, or the first to leave the room when the piccolo comes out, today is their day! 😂

🎶 CCFO STARTS THIS WEEK! 🎶

The wait is almost over! The Capital City Flute Orchestra begins rehearsals this week, and there’s still time to join us for the new season!

If you play the flute and live in the Treasure Valley, we want you to join us!

CCFO welcomes adult flutists of all ages and ability levels. Whether you play regularly, are getting back into flute after some time away, or just want more opportunities to make music, come find your flute home with us!

🎵 Capital City Flute Club membership: $40/year
🎵 CCFO ensemble fee: $35/semester

Our performance of “Dancing Queen”, arranged by Konrad M. Øhrn, is now on YouTube!

For this special performance at the 2026 National Flute Association Convention in Portland, Oregon, the Capital City Flute Club joined forces with the Boise State Flute Choir to bring this ABBA favorite to the national stage! 💜🧡

We had an absolute blast performing together and couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate Idaho’s flute community at NFA!

📸 A little late, but definitely worth sharing! 💜🎶

In all the craziness of preparing for the National Flute Association Convention, packing, rehearsing, traveling, and getting ready to take the national stage, we realized we never shared this post-concert photo from our On the Road to Nationals concert!

Now that the Capital City Flute Orchestra is back home and we’ve had a chance to catch up on work, life, and everything we put on hold before NFA, we’re finally getting around to sharing it. 💜

On the Road to Nationals was such a special send-off for our ensemble, and we are so grateful to everyone who came out to support us before we headed to Portland. Having our friends, families, and community behind us made our first trip to perform at NFA even more meaningful.

Better late than never! Here’s one more look back at an unforgettable concert and an incredible summer for the Capital City Flute Orchestra. 🎶

We’re continuing to share performances from our 2026 National Flute Association Convention performance in Portland, Oregon! 💜

Next up is Flute Focus by Thijs van Leer, performed by members of the Capital City Flute Orchestra and Boise State Flute Choir! This fun, energetic piece puts the flute front and center and was a blast to perform together.

Performing at NFA was such an exciting milestone, and we loved having the opportunity to share the national stage with our friends from Boise State and represent Idaho’s flute community together!

🎶 ONE WEEK UNTIL CCFO REHEARSALS BEGIN! 🎶

Dust off your flute and come make music with us! The Capital City Flute Orchestra kicks off rehearsals one week from today, and we’d love to have you join us for the 2026–2027 season!

CCFO is open to adult flute players of all ages and ability levels. Whether you’ve been playing for decades, recently picked your flute back up after years away, or are simply looking for a welcoming place to make music with other flutists, there’s a place for you in our flute family!
