What's on my mind???? That's what FB asks me .... so I'm going to answer.... I'm tired, well exhausted really. I do have to admit to being cold, very cold. On one hand I have some disappointments from challenges throughout the evening, things I would definitely do differently.... I haven't had a shower, I think I ate some cheese strings sometime yesterday, I've not been to bed before midnight all week, and I was up at 6am this morning trying to finish up decorating. At 3:30 pm I had to stop decorating whether I was done or not. I had to learn to just manage my own OCD and perfectionism. It took a lot longer than expected to do load ins/load outs, trees with low hanging branches are the death of canopies, culdesacs are killer tight turns pulling a trailer. Propane heaters work best when stopped. I am disappointed we didn't make it to all the places we wanted to go. I am disappointed my guys took time out of their schedules and didn't get to play what we spent so many hours rehearsing for. I've spent a considerable amount of money to make a vision come together. My house is an aboslute mess. I do not like to be late! But..... then again, I still have a choice. I am sharing this because all of these percieved failures could lead a person into a crisis or a learning opportunity.

Our evening is a perfect example of what Music for Mental Health is all about. Coping, dealing with stressors and working thru them as they come. For those whom we did get to see, the reception was fantastic. We had some great music and we had some fantastic experiences watching people step outside with their kids to sing along or dance. Thank you!

Not only that, we had musicians feeling some excitement to practice, to be in the spotlight for a moment. They braved the cold to share with others. They had hope, the spirit of the holidays, and enough that they gifted so many others with it. And for the most part, the weather was very good for this time of year.

Would I do it all over again????? In a heartbeat. Oh....I'd change a few things for sure, but overall, I worked with AMAZING people. And I am extremely grateful for what each of you helped pull off. I am grateful for your patience, your professionalism and the work you all put into this without hesitation.

For people reading this that have their own challenges.... keep learning, keep finding opportunities. Keep moving. You'll get there. And you may feel like nothing is going right. It's ok. Share even when you don't think it's going to be good enough. Share when you feel like giving up. Push through those challenges. You too will be a better person because of it. You will have more knowledge. You will have more tenacity and drive when you need it. And one day, it will get easier.

Happy holidays and may blessings.

Well the last act was interesting you know 25゚ and the propane in the propane heaters was freezing - that's some serious cold!!! Because we were running behind from some of the other routes - we did not do anything other play a couple of songs in the parking lot and had to call it a night. We love you Boise. We hope to do this again

Well we've learned a lot of things… one is that it takes a lot longer to go a short ways than we anticipated and so some of our routes have had to be cut short. If we didn't get to you tonight we will try to schedule a later date we are headed to downtown area

Getting closer... the lights will look better in the dark of course
