David Owen Hastings is coming to The Quilt Crossing—and it all starts TOMORROW! 🧵✨

David will be joining us August 26–30 as part of his final teaching tour before retiring from his regular teaching schedule. We’re so excited to welcome him to Boise for several days of stitching, creating, and plenty of inspiration!

Tomorrow evening, August 26 from 6:30–8:00pm, we’re kicking things off with Exploring Nature with Paper + Stitch, a special trunk show and lecture hosted alongside the Boise Basin Quilters Guild.

David will share pieces from more than 25 years of stitched paper artwork, take us through his journey from gallery artist to modern quilter, and talk about finding inspiration in nature, color, and texture. You’ll get a peek into his creative process—and probably leave looking at the world around you a little differently!

With this being David’s final teaching tour, you won’t want to miss this chance to spend an evening learning from him. 💙

It’s a wrap. Another PHR Quilt Crossing retreat has come. And gone. These ladies killed it! Lexie hoodies are done. Piecemaker pouches are done…:made at retreat labels inserted at just …the…right..:time! We had a few ladies who couldn’t make it at the last moment but we powered on! The ladies pieced their little hearts out…I got ‘em quilted. We ate a little..okay maybe a lot…and found peace in the small moments. The weather was beautiful and the river was peaceful. We have one more retreat this fall, a private one which is full. Look for the spring and summer lineup in our newsletter later this fall. If you want a private retreat with your group with a particular project or open sewing, ping me on messenger…I’ll share the dates. Max student count is 6-8 (8 if you are willing to share a bed).
