Last year I was able to work with a great group from the Midwest called Sunflower Fox and the Chicken Leg. This session was very special because the band saved their funds to come record in a classic recording studio over the course of 4 days. Many classic recording studios are closing their doors or relying on educational programs to keep them alive. We rely on artists to come record here to keep operating. Sure, you can go to a home studio and spend less money, still get a good product, and maybe have a shot at success, but the experience is nothing like recording in the space where Kansas, Stevie Wonder, and soooo many others have. There is nothing like working in a space that was constructed from the ground up to record music…not to mention the great selection of vintage gear we have. Trust me, as a drummer, I feel different when recording at Studio in the Country as opposed to my home studio. Next time you are looking at studios to record be like Sunflower Fox and the Chicken Leg; consider the process, and pick a space that inspires you!

We recorded at the same studio that recorded ‘Carry On My Wayward Son’ ! We used the same live room and the same grand piano!
