My dear friend Carol just published this book. Available on Amazon. Love the cover. Carl's artwork.
Whew!
Publishing this small volume of writings from my early days of blogging has been a long journey.
Years ago, I gathered all my blog posts together and had the whole lot of them professionally edited (thank you, Melanie Mulhall, for an excellent job!) with the idea of producing a book. It took me quite some time to begin the rewrites; I couldn’t stand to even look at the writing. Since I write from my experience in the moment, they seemed outdated and irrelevant in light of my own evolutionary process. That was then; this is now. I couldn’t relate.
So, they sat for a good long while.
I picked them up again about a year ago and realized that they had the potential to become current and relevant – not words to be discarded or left behind. Rather, these writings could evolve with me and become a reflection of that evolution. With the help of my writing colleague, Kathie Blea, every article was overhauled until each reflected a more current state of conscious awareness. My writings grew as I had grown.
Finally, even though overwhelmed at the prospect of formatting and marketing, I just decided to get ‘er done! And now Divinely Human is available on Amazon.
Formatting? Check. Tedious but right up my ally. I'm a perfectionist in that department. Need help formatting your book? I can do that!
Cover? Check. Slightly obsessed with the cover graphic, which is also part of my logo. It’s my art, and I kind of love it. I would love to do more!
Published? Check. I enjoyed this process more than I expected.
Marketing Plan? Mmmm. Not so much. Work in progress. I knew if I waited until I had a marketing plan in place, the book may never happen. This is my first step. More to come.
Honestly, I feel quite vulnerable in finally giving birth – all exposed and unprotected. So be it. I’m excited and happy to offer this work to you.
to life, Carol
